            Jainism, a prominent religion of India flourished in Bihar. This is a sacred destination as the birth place of the 12 th Tirthankara Vasupujya and 24 th   Tirthankara Mahavira.             The modern-day town of Patna, capital of Bihar is one of the oldest riverine cities. The heritage of Bihar dates back to the Vedic age.
